Get spooked

Acupuncture Records' brand of music will stamp itself on Halloween once again with a party at Lan Club today.

"Spooked" is the DJ collective's third consecutive Halloween party, and this year it headlines Hugo Diaz from Argentina, along with party regulars Weng Weng, XLF, Elvis T, Pancake Lee and Terry Tu.

In addition to the usual fare of techno on the main stage, there is a lounge area or retro room playing 70s-style music, and a house room featuring Cedric and Pump Su.

Lan's usual baroque look will be tricked out with a Halloween theme. In addition to the dancing girls and bright lights, there will also be a costume competition with a prize worth 3,000 yuan.

Star Live

Some local bands want to make Halloween a time for mixed concerts. Local band Liman is known as the "evil of music" and they will scream like a ghost. A traditional Chinese story, Zhong Kui Catches the Ghost, will also be staged.
