Tricks to make you gasp and stare

With the Federation Internationale des Socits Magiques (FISM, International Federation of Magic Societies) kicking of its World Championships of Magic Beijing 2009, 10 internationally famous magicians from Switzerland, France, German, Spain, Greece, Korea, Ukraine, US, and Italy will gather in Beijing to present Supreme Magic - a World Famous Show .

The championships include not just competitions for FISM's registered magicians but also discussion forums, demonstrations and courses for their members. Supreme Magic, which will be open to the public and showcase the winning tricks of the championships, will give audiences a rare look at some of the best magicians in the world.

The show includes Omar Pasha from France, who is considered the master of black art illusion; Peter Marvey from Switzerland, who won the Gold Wand Award at the Monte Carlo Magic Star Festival 1996, and International Magic Society Merlin Award for the "Magician of the Year 2002"; Jeff McBride from the US, voted the Best Magician of the Year at Magic Castle, Hollywood's acclaimed club for magicians; and Lee Eun-gyeol, from Korea, who won the Las Vegas Magic Seminar's Golden Lion's Award in 2003, South Africa Magic Championship Grand-Prix award, and the Manipulation First Prize Award in 2001.

The show will also feature Double Fantasy from Ukraine, that promises double the fun with two magicians on stage simultaneously.

The 10 different shows under Supreme Magic are all original acts, say the organizers, and will not even feature any assistants.

FISM championships are held every three years and on every occasion Supreme Magic has been nearly sold out.
