![]() Outdoor concerts make family outings a happy occasion and free admission also helps. Haidian Park is teaming up with local music producers and performers to give a series of free weekly outdoor concerts. From this weekend till the end of July, free classical, pop, jazz and rock concerts will be given in the capital. Four concerts, each with different themes, will be performed this weekend. On July 18, music for animations, traditional Chinese music, Broadway music and jazz concerts will be held. Every afternoon five local indie bands, such as The Wide Wind, My September, and Renegade, will perform from 4 pm till midnight. Other local artists will show their works on an exhibition wall as well as some photos taken by citizens showing the city in their eyes. While enjoying the music, visitors can walk around in one of the oldest parks in the capital. Haidian Park lies in the northwest corner of Wanquanhe Intersection, Northwest fourth ring road. It covers Changchun Park, Xihua Park, Quanzong Temple and other royal park sites. |
