Chan has won many of Asia's music awards over the past 10 years, including Taiwan's Golden Melody Award, Pacific Rim's Most Popular Singer Award and Hong Kong's Most Popular Male Singer Award, twice. 7:30 pm, July 18 Worker's Stadium, Gongti Beilu, Chaoyang district 6501-6655 The Yulin Folk Art Troupe from Shaanxi province will stage a local yangko show, Mizhi's Women and Suide's Men, that tells the love story of a girl from Mizhi county and three young men from Suide county. Throughout China, the women of Mizhi are known for their beauty while the men of Suide are known for their masculinity. The humorous play features excellent North Shaanxi folk music and dancing. 7:30 pm, July 16-19 National Center for the Performing Arts, west of Tian'anmen Square 6655-0000 The Peony Pavilion, the classic Kunqu Opera, is on at the Imperial Granary, a perfect venue. The Imperial Granary was rebuilt in the Ming Dynasty, 600 years ago, at exactly the same time the Kunqu Opera was written. 6409-6477/6499 22 Dongsi Shitiao, Dongcheng district 380-1,980 yuan, including Peking Roast Duck buffet The Chinese Acrobatics Group has toured more than 80 countries and helped foster friendships with them. Its performance includes traditional acrobatics, a circus show, magic and old Beijing folk plays.
