Zongzi for Dragon Boat Festival

Quanjude Restaurant is offering zongzi with duck stuffing at its different branches to mark the Dragon Boat Festival on May 28. Zongzi is a boiled rice dumpling with a reed leaf wrapping and stuffing. The specialty is also available at other restaurants the group manages, Fangshan Fanzhuang, Fengzeyuan and Sichuan Fandian. The dumpling stuffing includes duck, jujube and lotus seed paste. Have in the restaurant or take it away in gift boxes.

Taiwan restaurant reopens

The Taiwan-style restaurant Shin Yeh will reopen on Monday after a two-week renovation. It is giving a free coupon for an apricot beancurd dessert to every customer during trial opening from May 25-31. 6552-5066

New online ordering

The China Cuisine Association (CCA) has signed a contract with Japan's Info Mart electric online purchasing system to make the supply and purchase of ingredients for China's catering industry more effective. Info Mart has a 30 percent market share in Japan. CCA has also developed an online purchasing facility for Chinese catering enterprises at www.cgy100.com.
