Agnes Smedley was a famous American journalist, writer and social activist. In 1928, after coming to China, she became acquainted with Lu Xun, Mao Dun, Soong Ching Ling and many other Chinese progressive people and revolutionary intellectuals. For 20 years, she devoted all her energy to the Chinese people's revolutionary struggle.
