March 15, 1938: The CPC Central Committee issues "a resolution on developing a large number of Party members", which declares that it is an emergent and serious task of the Party to develop a large number of Party members

March 15, 1956: The National Association of Eliminate Illiteracy is established

On March 29, the CPC Central Committee issued the "decision on eliminating illiteracy" which pointed out: eliminating illiteracy was an important task in the culture of our country and a significant political task in socialist construction.

March 15, 1958: The PLA Academy of Military Sciences is established

This is the military academic research institution under the leadership of the Central Military Commission and the center of the whole army's military scientific research.

March 15—23, 1961: The CPC Central Committee holds a work conference in Guangzhou

The conference discussed and adopted the "Regulations on the work of the Rural People's Commune (draft)"to adjust rural policy.

March 15—31, 1993: The First Session of the Eighth National People's Congress (NPC) is held in Beijing

The session elected Jiang Zemin as Chairman of the country and the Central Military Commission, and elected Li Peng as Premier of the State Council.

Zhu De, born in Yilong County of Sichuan Province in 1886 and passed away in 1976, is a great Marxist, proletarian revolutionary, statesman and military strategist.

Chen Yi

A native of Le Zhi, in Southwest China's Sichuan Province, and awarded by the People's Republic of China the military rank of marshal; Served as the country's Vice Premier (1954-1972) and Foreign Minister (1958-1972)
