March 8—26, 1958: Chengdu Meeting
From March 8 to March 26, the CPC Central Committee held a work conference attended by leaders of related departments of the Central Committee and the secretaries of provinces, cities and autonomous regions (i.e. Chengdu Meeting). This was an important meeting during the process of launching the "Great Leap Forward".
