On difficult access to quality medical services
The country has pledged to set up a multi-level medical treatment system to solve urban and rural residents' difficulties in seeing doctors.
The country will further optimize its medical services to let quality medical resources benefit more patients in a bid to ensure Chinese citizens can recover from illnesses at local hospitals.
On the medical insurance network and direct settlement of inpatient costs
The Chinese government pledged to set up a national network for medical insurance information and achieve a direct settlement of Chinese citizens' inpatient costs in non-residential sites.
In 2016, a direct settlement of residents' inpatient costs within a province was realized. So far, eight provinces have carried out a direct settlement of residents' inpatient costs across these provinces.
