A construction site caught fire in Beijing on Tuesday, the Beijing Times reported.
The fire broke out in the foundation of a building outside the 2nd Ring Road in Chaoyang district at about 10:10 am, the paper said. No casualties were reported.
"The smoke was heavy as the burning materials are waterproof," a worker told the paper.
The fire was put out about half an hour later and the cause of the incident is still under investigation.
