A 28-year-old reporter with a local TV station in Zhengzhou, capital of Henan province, died of a sudden myocardial infarction brought on by too much work, Dahe Daily reported.

Liu Jian, a reporter who worked for the TV station's legal channel, wrote a micro blog saying his health took a turn for the worse on May 17. He died of a myocardial infarction at home, on the night of May 23.

His colleagues and others in the media expressed their shock after his sudden death and said those in the media work under too much pressure.

The deaths of Huang Lei, a 31-year-old employee at Shenzhen Evening News, on May 22 and of a 36-year-old editor at CCTV, who suffered from cancer, a few days earlier, were also blamed on work stress.
