The Bureau of Culture, Radio and TV in the southwestern city of Chongqing said Monday it will build a museum to showcase the relics uncovered from a group of tombs dating back to 2,200 years ago.

The museum is designed to cover an area of 10,000 square meters with an investment of 60 million yuan ($9.3 million) in Fengdu county. Construction is scheduled to start in September this year, it said in a statement.

Some 100,000 relics have been unearthed from the group of tombs whose number archaeologists estimated at 10,000.
