Cold front to hit central, eastern China

BEIJING - A cold front is expected to hit parts of central and eastern China beginning Wednesday, a weather forecast said on Monday.

Rain will fall in central and eastern China from Wednesday to Friday, the China Meteorological Administration (CMA) said.

Heavy storms are expected to hit eastern Heilongjiang province from Thursday to Saturday, while rain and snow could affect most parts of northeastern China during the same period, the forecast said.

A 10 degree Celsius temperature drop has been predicted for central China as well as the eastern Inner Mongolia autonomous region on Thursday and Friday, while the rest of the country should expect temperature drops of 3 to 7 degrees Celsius on Thursday and Friday.
