Xi praised the growth of bilateral relations in the past 28 years, highlighting that the two countries have produced significant cooperation in various fields, including investment, energy, infrastructure construction, culture, education, aviation and environmental protection.

The two countries have become important and trustworthy cooperation partners and forged successful coordination on regional and international affairs, Xi noted.

China and Angola established their strategic partnership during Xi's visit to Angola last November. During the visit, the two sides also inked seven inter-governmental cooperation agreements, covering economy, technology, energy, mining, agriculture and finance sectors.

Xi said China is satisfied with the current growth of its ties with Angola and is committed to working with Angola to strengthen mutual political trust, expand trade cooperation and step up cultural and people-to-people exchanges between the two countries.

Agreeing with Xi's views on the bilateral relations, Vicente said Angola will learn from China's experience of economic development and cement its cooperation with Chinese partners in the energy and infrastructure fields.

Angola sincerely hopes the bilateral cooperation could yield new achievements under the partnership framework, Vicente noted.
