Wen urges efforts to prevent price rises

NINGBO, Zhejiang - Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao has urged efforts to maintain stability and continuity of macro regulation and prevent excessive price rises and drastic economic fluctuations.

Wen made the remarks during an inspection tour in eastern Zhejiang province on Friday and Saturday.

Keeping the overall price levels stable was the top priority for current macro regulation, Wen said.

For this end, the central government has made overall arrangement, including money issuance control, production boost, ensuring supply, improving distribution network, enhancing supervision and monitoring, he said.
