818 volunteer booths to serve Student Games

More than 800 volunteer service stations will be set up in Shenzhen for the World Student Games on Aug 12, according to sz2011.org, the official website of the 26th Universiade. .

The 818 stations, with 68 serving in the venue and 750 across the city, will offer services including information, traffic guidance, language translation and emergency rescue. The stations will also organize local residents to take part in voluntary activities including preserving public order and hygiene.

The stations will come into service on July 1 and operate for two months from 8 am to 8 pm everyday.

About 1.27 million volunteers will be recruited by May 31.
