The Bureau said the flu situation concerning children remained unchanged as the same period of last year, while the adult's cases were more serious partly because of the relatively low vaccination rate within this group.

As most of students and teachers in Macao schools have been inoculated with A/H1N1 flu vaccines or seasonal flu vaccines, authorities will not take collective suspension of classes as preventive measures for flu outbreak unless the situation worsens, the Bureau said.

However, as more and more students are back to study from vacation, the Bureau is watching closely flu situation in schools and kindergartens and calls on these institutions to take strict sanitation measures to prevent flu outbreak.
