BEIJING - Beijing weather department said Saturday that snow was likely to again fall in Beijing either Saturday night or early Sunday morning, and the city would again attempt to increase precipitation by seeding clouds.

The precipitation is expected to reach one to two millimeters, less than the snowfall two days ago, said Liao Xiaonong, chief weatherman with the Beijing Meteorological Bureau.

Beijing got its first snow of the winter Wednesday and Thursday after 108 days without any precipitation. It was the latest first winter snow in 60 years. The city's so called rainmakers dispersed silver iodide into the air at Beijing's 33 high points to increase the snowfall.

"The same snowfall enhancement method will be used this time if snow falls," said Liao.

The snow is expected to stop falling daytime Sunday.
