BEIJING -- China's tourism authorities issued warnings Thursday to Chinese tourists in Australia and the United States about, respectively, the tropical cyclone and snowstorms.
There has been no reports of injuries from the 2,235 Chinese tourists in 102 tourist groups in Queensland, Australia, the National Holiday Office cited China's consulate-general in Brisbane as saying.

Tropical cyclone Yasi struck Queensland early on Thursday morning, delivering 290 km/h winds and raging seas. There has been extensive damage to homes, businesses and crops, with at least 177,000 homes left without power.
The National Holiday Office also reminded the Chinese tourists now traveling in more than 100 tourist groups throughout the United States of the dangerous snowstorm raging in 30 states.
Chinese tourists in those areas should pay close attention to weather forecast and adjust their travel plans accordingly, the office said.
