This is the first major revision of the Tibetan language version of China Tibet Online, tb.tibet.cn, since it was launched in 2001, said Zhang Xiaoping, chief editor of China Tibet Online.

With newly-added contents, the website can better meet people's increasing demand for information about Tibet, Zhang said.

The CTO launched a new English version just two days ago.

The revision is part of CTO's efforts to reach a greater audience across the globe, Zhang said. The portal plans to launch nine more versions in German, French and other languages in five years.
