The conference would focus on boosting farm produce supply and the development of modern agriculture in 2011, said a statement released on December 12 after the annual Central Economic Work Conference.

The rural work conference, usually attended by senior officials of the State Council, China's Cabinet, and provincial-level officials, is expected to deliberate on and specify the policies.
