Most parts of China will enjoy sunny weather over the coming three days, while north Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, parts of Sichuan Province and northeast China will see light to moderate snow or sleet, the National Meteorological Center (NMC) forecast.

He Lifu, top weather forecaster for the NMC, said with the cold front dissipating, snow disasters in the south of China were now less likely.

But he suggested southerners drive carefully as thick fog was expected to shroud some parts of the country's south in the next few days.

The cold snap hit China on Saturday, dropping temperatures in regions to their lowest this winter. Heavy snow hit north and west China, forcing closure of airports and highways and causing traffic delays.
