Donations pour in for Shanghai blaze victims

Victims of the Nov 15 Shanghai blaze received an average of 100,000 yuan from the Shanghai Charity Foundation (SCF), the Shanghai Morning Post reported Friday.

Tong Hang, a retired teacher, received food, clothing and a laptop. "For better or worse, my family and I survived, and we are grateful to all the kindhearted people, charities, and commercial entities," Tong said.

"Charitable deeds came from all over the city," a representative of SCF said. "As of Nov 18, we've gotten 5.5 million charitable donations from society," and "more money will come, we believe," said Chen Tiedi, honorary director general of SCF.

For money donations to SCF, two methods are available:

    1: Bank account transfer
