Central China province warns of dusty winds

HENAN - Meteorological authorities in Central China's Henan province issued a dusty wind alert Thursday morning, the forth such alert in two days, warning of light dusty winds in 15 cities in the province.

The alert warned that the wind power may reach an average of five in the cities including Sanmenxia, Luoyang and Jiaozuo.

In the provincial capital, Zhengzhou city, wind power may exceed six or seven and yellow sand may be visible in the air.

Authorities warned people to avoid riding bikes and passing by large billboards during the windy weather.

In North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region and Hebei province, authorities warned Thursday of strong winds over the coming two days as temperatures drop by up to 10 degrees centigrade.
