The airport is expected to handle 1.75 million passengers over the National Day holiday period, about 32.57 percent up from the same period last year, according to the airport.

China's National Day holiday runs from October 1 to 7.

The airport has made full preparations to cope with the expected high number of passengers returning from their holidays, especially stepping up security measures, said an official with the airport.
