Rocket ready to launch China's 2nd lunar probe

XICHANG, Sichuan -- A comprehensive examination has shown the Long March 3C rocket is in normal and sound condition for carrying the satellite Chang'e-2, China's second lunar probe, to its planned orbit in three hours, the launch headquarters said.

The launch is scheduled for 6:59:57 pm Friday at the Xichang Satellite Launch Center in southwest China's Sichuan Province.
