China to launch remote-sensing satellite

JIUQUAN - China will launch a remote-sensing satellite "Yaogan XI" in the coming days from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in the Northwestern Gansu province, an official at the center said on Monday.

The official did not give further details about the launch or the satellite.

Previously, "Yaogan X" was launched from the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center in the northern Shanxi province on Aug 10.
