Helicopter crashes in northeast China

HARBIN -- A helicopter crashed in the northeastern Chinese city of Harbin Saturday, but it was not immediately known if there were people killed or injured in the accident.

The helicopter crashed near a village in Pingfang Township on the outskirts of Harbin, capital of Heilongjiang Province, at about 11 a.m., a spokesman with the city's emergency affairs office said.
