Ten students and teachers from Shandong Institute of Business and Technology used part of their summer vacation to investigate education situation for primary students in Aba prefecture in southwest China’s Sichuan province. They also brought gifts for the students.

The Shandong Institute students spent ten days at the Hexi Primary School, the Fushun Primary School, and Yuanshi Center Primary School.

The research questions included the allocation of hardware and software, family income and the attention the parents pay to children’s education. More than 40 parents, 40 teachers and 50 students interacted with the visitors and answered their questions.

The institute initiated the program as part of the activity of “Small package, Great Love”, which was organized by China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation.
