BEIJING - Torrential rains will hit China's northeastern, central and southwestern regions in the next 24 hours, China's National Meteorological Center (NMC) warned Saturday.
Rains will also strike southern regions of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and Guangdong Province, and some areas of Hainan Province, according to the NMC's forecast.
Downpour will pound some areas in the eastern parts of Sichuan Basin, southeastern Shanxi, and eastern Liaoning Province, the NMC said.
It urges local governments to step up measures to prevent possible landslide and mud-rock flow triggered by rain storms.
