Doctors fined for unreasonable drug usage

Some 243 doctors of third-class hospitals in Henan province were fined for the unreasonable usage of medicine and unqualified prescriptions in the first half of this year, Xinhua News Agency reported on Wednesday.

The health authority of Henan province checked 9,488 prescriptions and fined 172 doctors who unreasonably prescribed for patients. The authority also examined 3,743 medical records with 71 doctors being fined.
