Rewards offered for capture of 100 criminals

KUNMING - Judicial authorities in Southwest China's Yunnan province have offered rewards totaling 387,000 yuan for information leading to the capture of 100 on-the-run criminal suspects.

A Yunnan Province Public Security Department spokesperson made the announcement Tuesday.

The judicial authorities have also put the reward notice and details of the wanted suspects on a website: www.ga.yn.gov.cn

The identity of informers will be kept confidential, the spokesperson said.

"We will implement tough measurers to capture the runaway criminals," said the spokesperson.

According to the Yunnan Provincial Public Security Department, police paid visits to the families of 2,169 runaway criminal suspects in July.
