TOKYO - A giant panda has given birth to twins at an animal theme park in Shirahama, Wakayama Prefecture of Japan, Kyodo News reported Thursday.

The brother and sister were born Wednesday morning at Adventure World, weighing 158 grams and 123 grams, respectively, and are said to be in stable condition. They have yet to be given names.

The mother, Rauhin, born at the park in 2000, previously gave birth to twins, Eihin and Meihin, in September 2008.

The operator found in late March that Rauhin had mated with a male panda named Eimei, the report said.
