Six killed, one injured in East China factory blast

JINAN- Six people were killed and one was injured in an explosion at a factory in East China's Shandong province Saturday.

The blast occurred at Hengyang Asitaike Anticorrosive Equipment Co., Ltd, Zhoucun Economic Development Zone, Zibo City, at 2:50 pm, said a statement from the development zone's publicity department.

Six people died at the scene and one person was taken to hospital.

Police are investigating the incident.

The statement gave no other details.
