An emergency call system installed with 3G video was set up by the Beijing 999 Emergency Rescue Center to respond to emergency calls, the Beijing Times reported Friday.
This emergency system, with the most advanced 3G wireless communication and video processing technology, is a dedicated product in serving empty nesters and people confined to bed, according to the 999 Emergency Rescue Center.
The callers only need to press the alarm button of a portable remote control when they feel uncomfortable, and a video will be sent to the Emergency Rescue Center through the 3G monitor installed in the user’s home. Meanwhile, the home address and telephone number will also appear on the video screen.
The video signal covers all the districts and counties in Beijing, according to the report.
