China will blacklist websites that have been under investigation for copyright infringement during an anti-piracy action, the Beijing Evening News reported Thursday.
The three-month nationwide campaign was launched on Wednesday to crack down on illegal pirating on the Internet.
The campaign, jointly launched by the National Copyright Administration (NCA), the Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, was the sixth special action since 2005 and will focus on the illegal online businesses of publications, especially those that contain online games, literature, TV programs, movies and music.
The campaign will collect the violating websites across the country and expose them in a blacklist posted on the NCA website.
