Economic slowdown a result of regulation

BEIJING -- Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao said here Friday that the slowdown of China's economy in the second quarter was due to the government's "active regulation and control".

He made the remarks when meeting with press along with visiting German Chancellor Angela Merkel after their talks.
