A college graduate from one of China's renowned universities was found dying on a street after tramping for a month in Nanchang, East China’s Jiangxi province on July 12, a local newspaper reported on Wednesday.

Fortunately, he was sent to the hospital by police in time and told his story afterwards.

The young man, a graduate of China University of Political Science and Law in Beijing, was planning to find a job back in his hometown in East China’s Fujian province. But he carelessly bought the wrong train ticket to Nanchang in June. To make matters worse, he forgot to take his cell phone and only had a few bucks with him.

As timid as he always had been, he was afraid to talk to strangers and therefore couldn't find a job. Because he had no money, he wandered the streets, living as a beggar, until he ate some moldy food on a hot summer day and fainted.
