China restricts soldiers' online activities

China's soldiers are prohibited from posting personal ads, applying for jobs or making friends through mass media, according to a military discipline rule that came into force on June 15, PLA Daily reported Friday.

The rule also forbids soldiers to establish websites, create pages or blogs, or use forums on the Internet to prevent possible leaks of their identities or information about the army.
