1,461 overseas gambling websites blocked

The Ministry of Public Security has blocked 1,461 overseas websites featuring online gambling within one week, an official said, according to Beijing Times on Wednesday.

Rampant illegal gambling still lingers in many areas of the country, especially since the opening of the 2010 World Cup, adding to the public's concerns.
