Beijing to cover all permanent residents into medicare system

BEIJING - Beijing Saturday launched a medicare reform vowing to increase medical resources so as to cover the city's 17 million permanent residents into its medicare system.

Mayor Guo Jinlong said the city government has earmarked 33.7 billion yuan ($4.9 billion  dollars) for carrying out the reform in the next two years.
