1 dead after building collapses in SW China

CHONGQING - One person was confirmed dead and another was buried Thursday after a building under construction collapsed in southwest China's Chongqing municipality, said local authorities.

The accident happened around 2 pm at a construction site in Liugongli of Nanping county, Nanan district when more than 20 people were working there, said a spokesman with the district government.

A total of 12 workers were injured and sent to hospital.
