Beijing colleges to hire experienced mentors

Nine colleges in Beijing will hire mentors to help students who are suffering from problems in life, the China Youth Daily reported today.
Recruiters prefer veteran teachers to do the job, the report said, blaming young counselors on most campuses at present lack experiences in giving proper guidance and advice to students facing life's emergencies.
Though common student instructors can communicate well with students as they're young in age, retired workers could be more knowledgeable and do a better job, the report said.
