470 police in Beijing for crash course

More than 470 municipal police officers from all over the country convened in Beijing on Saturday for a ten-day crash course, the China News Agency reported, without specifying the content of the latest training.
A similar training session, for nationwide county-level police officers, was orchestrated last April by the Public Security Ministry's Party Committee in Beijing.
Minister Meng Jianzhu delivered a speech to the police officers at Saturday's training, urging their capability building to safeguard national security and social stability.
