Commerce official dies after fall from government building

HEFEI: A senior commerce bureau official in east China's Anhui Province was confirmed dead after falling from a government building at noon Wednesday, according to the local government.

Zhou Xin, head of the Anqing Municipal Commerce Bureau, fell from a government office building at around midday Wednesday.

Foul play has been ruled out after an initial on-spot investigation, the municipal public security bureau official said.

Police are investigating the case.
