Bike snatcher swallows keys to destroy evidence

After detaining a vehicle snatcher, police in Haikou, capital of Hainan province, had to rush their suspect to a hospital as he had swallowed the keys of a stolen bike in a bid to destroy the evidence last Monday.

The suspect, surnamed Lu, who had snatched a motorcycle, gulped down its keys after he realized he was surrounded by police officers.

Maintaining they had enough evidence to nail the suspect, cops said they only took him to a hospital to ensure he doesn't suffer any complications with a key in his stomach.
