Bus drivers strike over slim pay in SW China

BAZHONG, Sichuan Province --  Bus drivers in Bazhong City, southwest China's Sichuan Province, went on strike Wednesday morning for low pay.

Drivers who refused to be identified told Xinhua via phone that they had to work more than 10 hours a day with low pay and no pension.

The exact number on strike is not immediately known.

People were left standing at bus stops and many ended up walking to work or school as taxis were in high demand.
