Hu meets scientists of Shenzhou VII space program

JIUQUAN, Gansu -- Chinese President Hu Jintao met with space scientists working for the country's Shenzhou VII manned space program here Friday morning.

Zhou Yongkang, a member of the Standing Committee of Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee Political Bureau, was also present at the meeting held in Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in northwest Gansu Province.

China successfully launched its third manned spaceship Thursday night.
