China's first "concept train" wrapped up its maiden voyage to promote patriotism when it pulled into the Jinggangshan railway station in east China's Jiangxi province on Tuesday.

The trip was "journey of the red". It linked the cities of Jinggangshan, Nanchang and Jiujiang, important sites during the Chinese revolution.

Jinggangshan is birthplace of the People's Liberation Army of China, which was known as the Red Army before 1946.

A photographic exhibition on China's revolutionary history was set up on the train and all the attendants dressed up as Red Army soldiers.

Similar concept trains will run regularly on the same route.
