A 260-year-old piece of wild ginseng became the major attraction for visitors during a special exhibition at a hotel in Changsha, capital of Hunan Province, over the weekend.

The "King of ginseng" weighed 217.5 grams when it was dug out in Northeast China last year. But after drying it now weighs only 43.5 grams. It is, so far, the oldest ginseng that has been found on the mainland.

The ginseng will be auctioned off tomorrow when the ginseng show ends.
